Innovation and Scientific Research Support Office<\/u><\/strong><\/span><\/h4>

Office vision:<\/strong><\/span><\/h4>

Placing the Institute among the colleges producing innovation at the local and international levels, and strengthening the Institute\u2019s leadership in having an integrated system that guarantees the developmental value of innovation and knowledge and linking its applications and outputs to national goals and challenges in accordance with the Institute\u2019s vision and Egypt\u2019s Vision 2030.<\/span>\u00a0<\/strong><\/span><\/p>

Office message: <\/strong>The office seeks to work to spread the culture of innovation, provide a supportive environment to unleash energies, achieve and highlight achievements, and consolidate the principles and values \u200b\u200bof innovation in all sectors of the institute, leading to entrepreneurship, in order to raise Egyptian competitive capabilities and achieve efficiency and effectiveness in scientific research and innovation, through best supportive practices. To innovate and anticipate the future.<\/span><\/p>

About the office<\/strong><\/span><\/span><\/h4>

In light of the sustainable development strategy of Egypt\u2019s Vision 2030, which stipulates the formation of a creative, innovative and productive society for science and knowledge, which contributes to achieving development.<\/span><\/p>

In light of Egypt taking knowledge, innovation, and scientific research as basic pillars of progress, development, and achieving leadership, by investing in people, building their creative capabilities, stimulating innovation, spreading its culture, supporting scientific research, and linking it to education and development.<\/span><\/p>

In the context of the presence of a large scientific base of researchers and scientific capabilities, and the state directing all efforts to support and consolidate the culture of innovation in all sectors, and motivating society to advance scientific research and knowledge.<\/span><\/p>

Since the Institute obtained the accreditation of the National Authority for Quality Assurance and Accreditation of Education on 8\/24\/2015 AD, which required the Institute to rise to excellence after quality, the Office for Supporting Innovation and Scientific Research was established based on the Institute Council\u2019s Resolution No. (573) dated 9\/19\/2021. This is to create a qualitative shift in research performance and develop scientific capabilities to stimulate a culture of innovation and creativity among the various categories of the Institute\u2019s employees, through three main axes:<\/span><\/p>

  • Creating an environment conducive to the localization and production of knowledge and supportive of scientific research.<\/span><\/li>
  • Developing an integrated system that supports innovation and creativity.<\/span><\/li>
  • Linking knowledge applications and innovation outcomes to the priorities of the country\u2019s national plan.<\/span><\/li><\/ul>

    Office specialties<\/strong><\/span><\/span><\/h4>
    • Providing support to research cadres and promoting and disseminating the culture of innovation and entrepreneurship at the Institute<\/span><\/li>
    • Coordinating and establishing partnerships with relevant authorities to support innovation and scientific research skills.<\/span><\/li>
    • Holding events that enhance innovation, scientific research and entrepreneurship practices at the Institute.<\/span><\/li>
    • Collecting and analyzing information on the progress of innovative activities, research, research projects and achievements in the various sectors of the Institute for continuous improvement.<\/span><\/li>
    • Supporting candidates from the Institute\u2019s employees applying for research projects, grants, and awards for innovation, scientific research, and entrepreneurship.<\/span><\/li>
    • Establishing the rules, controls and mechanisms used in marketing the outputs of research and innovative projects that the Fund finances, as well as the percentages of distribution of the returns from marketing these outputs in a way that ensures the stimulation and encouragement of young researchers and innovators.<\/span><\/li>
    • Preparing the office\u2019s annual plan and following up on its implementation after its approval.<\/span><\/li>
    • Preparing annual reports on the office\u2019s activities, achievements, and proposals for improving performance.<\/span><\/li>
    • Developing and updating the organizational structure and guide based on the institute\u2019s strategic plan.<\/span><\/li>
    • Review and evaluate the efficiency of various processes and procedures to ensure their compatibility, integration and differentiation, and provide development suggestions aimed at increasing the effectiveness of these processes.<\/span><\/li>
    • Apply for prizes, competitions and events that are announced.<\/span><\/li>
    • Participate in determining performance measurement indicators for activities and awards related to innovation and scientific research at the Institute.<\/span><\/li>
    • Study and express an opinion on all topics referred to the office related to the office\u2019s activity at the institute.<\/span><\/li>
    • Preparing supporting studies, research and benchmark comparisons and developing plans for their implementation.<\/span><\/li><\/ul>

      Office objectives:<\/strong><\/span><\/span><\/h4>
      • Spreading the culture of innovation among the institute\u2019s various sectors in line with Egypt\u2019s Vision 2030.<\/span><\/li>
      • Providing support to research cadres and encouraging them to implement research projects that contribute to providing solutions to societal challenges and problems with innovative ideas.<\/span><\/li>
      • Creating a stimulating environment to advance the institute\u2019s scientific activities to keep pace with successive developments in various fields.<\/span><\/li>
      • Strengthening capabilities to apply innovation and creativity in order to advance scientific research.<\/span><\/li>
      • Seeking to invest in scientific innovations and pioneering ideas in cooperation with the Institute\u2019s strategic partners.<\/span><\/li>
      • Promoting the spirit of innovation and creativity to improve the educational, research and community services provided by the Institute.<\/span><\/li>
      • Raising the efficiency of promising and innovative researchers and providing support to ensure the application of innovation concepts and principles.<\/span><\/li>
